Physiotherapists work closely with other health care professionals and clinical support staff to optimize their client's potential for recovery and enhance the rehabilitation process.

Physiotherapy includes:
• Physical assessment of the illness/injury by a Registered Physiotherapist
• Development of an individualized treatment plan
• Physiotherapy treatment consisting of manual therapy, electrotherapy, exercise
..for stretching, strengthening and conditioning, education and discharge recommendations
• Regular reassessment of each client's status to ensure that ongoing treatment
..is necessary and "evidence based"
• Communication and follow-up with the client and other stakeholders to ensure an outcome ..that is durable over time
